ITME India has been one of the latest international events for the textile community this year. The show has significant relevance as India continues to develop a powerful textile industry. The Indian textile industry ranks sixth in the world in terms of export value. That’s the reason amec decided to participate in the event with its companies and with the support of ICEX (Spanish Trade Agency). amec amtex’s director, Alejandro Gallego, gives an insight of the relevance of the Indian market and the importance of exhibiting at ITME India:
Being present at ITME India has been a great opportunity for Spanish companies to showcase their solutions, given the general interest of the public. Throughout six days, they have made acquaintance with potential local partners and held numerous meetings with agents, representatives, and distributors to help them expand their business in India. Likewise, the show allowed companies meet face-to-face with current clients and close new meetings for the coming ITMA 2023.
During the show days, amec amtex has helped companies not established in India yet to get a head start and make themselves known while getting familiar with the market idiosyncrasy, trends and demands. Simultaneously, amec amtex has established contacts with counterpart entities and associations to create potential collaboration opportunities, such as the Indian Textile Accessories and Machinery Manufacture Association (ITAMMA), the Textile Machinery Manufacturers’ Association or the Textile Association of India.
